WKCTC to Unveil New Tech Hub with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

(PADUCAH, Ky.) — West Kentucky Community and Technical College will celebrate the opening of its new Tech Hub with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Oct. 21, marking a significant addition to the institution’s technological resources.

The ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. in Room 3 of the Matheson Learning Resource Center at WKCTC’s campus on 4810 Alben Barkley Drive. Media representatives have been invited to cover the event.

The program will feature remarks from several college officials and students. Dr. Anton Reece, WKCTC president, will deliver opening and closing remarks, while Geelyn Warren, director of institutional planning, research and effectiveness, and Melissa Burgess, the Tech Hub facilitator, will also speak.

Students Allen Williford and Tina Dunkerson are scheduled to share their perspectives on the new facility, with Dunkerson’s remarks being read by Sanci Teague, dean of academic services, who will also provide the welcome and introduction.

Following the formal program and ribbon cutting, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the facility’s new podcast booths. The college plans to serve light refreshments during the event.

The Tech Hub represents a collaborative effort by WKCTC faculty, staff and cabinet members, who will participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony.
