
(HOPKINSVILLE, Ky.) — The Marshall County soccer team couldn’t hold onto an early advantage Tuesday night, falling 2-1 to the University Heights Academy Blazers in a road contest.
The Marshals struck first to take an early lead, but UHA responded with two unanswered goals to secure the victory.
Junior forward John Shadowen accounted for Marshall County’s lone goal, also recording an assist in the losing effort. The Marshals managed two points as a team in the offensive column.
In goal, junior keeper Carson Lovett recorded two saves while allowing two goals.
The loss comes as Marshall County prepares to wrap up its regular season. The Marshals (10-9-1) will travel to Henderson County on Thursday for their regular season finale.
