Two Workers Injured in Fire at Newly Opened Mayfield Hampton Inn

(MAYFIELD, Ky.) — Emergency responders successfully extinguished a fire at the recently opened Hampton Inn in Mayfield on Tuesday, according to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.

The Mayfield Fire Department and Mayfield Graves County Fire and Rescue responded to the incident at the hotel, which had only recently begun operations in the area.

In a statement, Hampton Inn Mayfield owner Al Nathu said “We want to express our deepest gratitude to the Mayfield Fire Department, Mayfield Police Department, Mayfield-Graves County EMS, and the Graves County Sheriff’s Department for their swift, professional, and outstanding response. Their quick action, expertise, and teamwork made a tremendous difference inresponding to this serious situation, and we are profoundly appreciative of their efforts.

At this time, we do not have an update on the condition of the two workers who were injured.  We remain concerned for their well-being and recovery.”
