
(GREENSBURG, Ky.)-The Marshall County Mountain Bikers competed at Battle at Bluff Boom over the weekend to compete in Race #3 of the Kentucky Interscholastic Cycling League (KICL) season, delivering their strongest performance of the year.
The Marshals and Lady Marshals achieved their highest point total of the season while securing a third-place team finish. The results allowed Marshall County to maintain its third-place standing in the league’s overall season rankings, trailing Hardin-Elizabethtown Composite in first place and Warren County Composite in second.
Several Marshall County riders turned in notable performances across multiple divisions:
In the Varsity Girls category, Emma Roberts completed four laps with times of 20:49, 22:03, 22:37, and 22:49, finishing with a total time of 1:28:19.33 to place second overall.
Brady Atkins represented the Marshals in Varsity Boys, posting consistent lap times of 18:20, 19:23, 19:33, and 18:52 for a total time of 1:16:10.70 and a third-place finish.
Amelia Miller placed fourth in JV2 Girls with a two-lap time of 45:19.51, while Nate Boone finished fourth in JV3 Boys, completing two laps in 42:11.11.
In the JV1 Boys division, Nathan Downs completed three laps with times of 18:39, 20:13, and 20:24 for a total time of 59:17.87, placing fifth overall.
Avery Criswell finished ninth in JV2 Boys with a two-lap time of 59:30.69, and Max Dittman rounded out the Marshall County results with a 10th-place finish in JV2 Boys, completing two laps in 43:33.8.
Race #4 on the schedule is a home race weekend of sorts for Marshall County as the league descends on Grand Rivers for “Climb Time in Livingston” October 11-12 on the Livingston County Trails.
