Multiple Arrests Made in Lyon County During Busy Week

(EDDYVILLE, Ky.) — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reported several arrests over a four-day period last week, including the execution of multiple indictment warrants and responses to domestic incidents.

Major Warrant Sweep Yields Nine Arrests

On Monday, September 15, deputies conducted an extensive warrant operation beginning at 10 a.m. that continued throughout the day, resulting in nine arrests on Lyon Circuit Court indictment warrants.

The arrests included charges ranging from assault to promoting contraband, with several defendants facing persistent felony offender enhancements:

Assault and Contraband Charges:

  • Aramis S. Murray, 34, of Lexington, was arrested on charges of third-degree assault and persistent felony offender-II
  • Dustin T. Smith, 23, of McKee, faces first-degree assault, first-degree promoting contraband, and persistent felony offender-I charges
  • Jamie C. Muse, 33, of Williamsburg, was charged with first-degree promoting contraband and persistent felony offender-I

Multi-Defendant Case: Several individuals were arrested on similar charges involving assault by complicity and contraband promotion:

  • Chase E. Sisk, 25, of Dixon (second-degree assault, first-degree promoting contraband, persistent felony offender-II)
  • David A. Faulkner, 37, of Louisville (second-degree assault by complicity, second-degree promoting contraband, persistent felony offender-I)
  • Devery Shanowat, 32, of Virgie (first-degree assault by complicity, first-degree promoting contraband, persistent felony offender-I)
  • Timothy S. Meskimen, 53, of Lexington (second-degree assault by complicity, first-degree promoting contraband, persistent felony offender-I)
  • Donnie L. Ashby, 44, of Louisville (second-degree assault by complicity, first-degree promoting contraband, persistent felony offender-II)
  • Brandon M. Kraatz, 28, of Louisville (second-degree assault by complicity, first-degree promoting contraband, persistent felony offender-II)

Domestic Violence Response Leads to Multiple Charges

On Thursday evening, September 18, deputies and Kentucky State Police responded to a domestic disturbance on KY 1055 around 7:30 p.m. The incident resulted in the arrest of Austin L. Wilson, 38, of Eddyville.

Wilson was initially arrested by KSP on an outstanding McCracken District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in a drug and traffic-related case. Deputy Josh Travis subsequently charged Wilson with second-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence). Wilson was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

Additional Arrests

Friday, September 19: Deputies served a Nicholas District Court bench warrant on Amanda F. Pergram, 45, of Paris, charging her with contempt of court. Pergram is awaiting extradition back to Nicholas County.

Saturday, September 20: In an early morning incident around 4:30 a.m., Chief Deputy Sam Adams responded to a residence off Leroy Road regarding an unwanted subject complaint. The investigation revealed that Andrea M. Breedlove, 37, of Princeton, had violated a domestic violence order by coming to the residence and attempting to coerce a child from the home. Breedlove was charged with violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO and third-degree criminal trespassing and lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

The arrests represent a significant law enforcement operation for the rural Kentucky county, with charges spanning multiple jurisdictions and involving both state and local agencies.
