(LOUISVILLE) — The Marshall County Lady Marshals delivered a dominant performance on Sunday, blanking the Mercy Academy Jaguars 3-0 in an impressive road victory.
The Lady Marshals were led offensively by senior Chaney Green, who found the back of the net twice in the shutout win. Green’s two-goal performance spearheaded Marshall County’s balanced offensive attack against the Jaguars.
Supporting the scoring effort, senior Addi Wall contributed an assist, while senior Hadley Bynum and junior Lily Hays each added a goal to secure the convincing victory.
Goalkeeper Savannah Dodd had a clean sheet with four saves, while the Orange defense continued to be stingy limiting Mercy Academy’s offensive opportunities throughout the match and preserving the shutout.
Marshall County improves to 12-2-1 and will return to the Colburn Soccer Complex on Tuesday for a matchup with Mayfield.
