(CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.) – The Marshall County Lady Marshals earned a convincing road victory Thursday night, defeating Clarksville High School 2-0 behind a brace from forward Chaney Green and goalkeeper Savannah Dodd.

Green was the offensive catalyst for the Lady Marshals, netting both goals in the victory. The first came with 5:42 remaining in the opening half, assisted by teammate Rylee Teague. Green struck again just before the halftime whistle, scoring with only seven seconds left on the clock off a pass from Addi Wall.

The two-goal cushion proved more than sufficient, as goalkeeper Savannah Dodd recorded another clean sheet for Marshall County, preserving the shutout victory on the road.

The win sets up a busy weekend slate for the Lady Marshals, who will travel to Louisville for back-to-back matches. They’ll face North Oldham on Saturday before taking on Mercy Academy on Sunday.

The Lady Marshals’ balanced attack and solid defensive play continue to be hallmarks of their season, with Green’s scoring touch and Dodd’s reliability in goal providing a strong foundation for the team’s success.
