BRIENSBURG, Ky. – The Marshall County Lady Marshals volleyball team dominated Christian Fellowship School on Tuesday night, winning in straight sets 25-14, 25-10, 25-11 to improve to 7-1 on the season.

Playing on the road, Marshall County controlled all three sets against the Lady Eagles (2-11), never allowing their opponents to establish momentum in the cross-highway rivalry matchup.

Senior Catherine Shelton paced the Lady Marshals’ attack with 4 kills and 2 service aces. Junior Emma Reynolds added 2 kills and led the defensive effort with 3 blocks. The team recorded 11 total blocks, with sophomore Nora Clark also contributing 3 blocks.

Defensively, senior Olivia Hawkins anchored the back row with 5 digs, while senior Maleah Terry added 4 digs.

“Our girls executed the game plan perfectly tonight,” said Head Coach Paige Fletcher. “We maintained our intensity throughout all three sets and didn’t give Christian Fellowship many opportunities to get back into the match.”

The victory extends Marshall County’s strong start to the season, having won seven of their first eight matches.

Marshall County next travels to Community Christian Academy on Tuesday, while Christian Fellowship will host Mayfield at home the same night.
