Trinity Beth Sets Tournament Record as Lady Marshals Place Fourth at KCGA All State Championship

(LEXINGTON, Ky.) — The Lady Marshals golf team delivered a strong performance at the Kentucky Golf Coaches Association All State Championship over the weekend, finishing fourth overall while senior Trinity Beth captured individual honors with a record-breaking performance.

Beth dominated the field with a tournament-record 12-under-par total across two challenging courses in Lexington. Her opening round of 65 on the par-71 Wildcat course featured a scorching front-nine 29, setting the tone for what would become a historic weekend.

The championship was far from decided after the first round, however. Beth sealed her victory with a clutch final round, shooting 66 on the par-72 Big Blue course. Her closing stretch proved decisive as she fired six-under-par over her final six holes, including four birdies and an eagle, to pull away from the field and claim the individual title.

“Trinity’s performance was exceptional from start to finish,” said Head Coach Aaron Beth. “To close out a tournament at that level with such a strong finish shows the mental toughness we’ve been working on all season.”

The Lady Marshals’ fourth-place team finish was bolstered by solid contributions from the entire roster. CeCelia Ray carded rounds totaling 164 to finish 46th individually, while Brooklyn Cunningham posted a 171 total for 65th place. Kelli Roberts finished 69th with a weekend total of 176, and Charlee Murphy rounded out the scoring with a 180 total for 74th place.

The team will compete in the Regional Tournament at Rolling Hills Country Club on Monday, September 22nd.
