Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Reports Multiple Arrests This Week

(EDDYVILLE, Ky.)-The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has reported several arrests over the past week, including warrant services and a drug-related incident at a local high school.

Eddyville Woman Arrested on Drug-Related Warrant

On Monday afternoon, Chief Deputy Sam Adams arrested 36-year-old Tawny M. Clinton of Eddyville on a Lyon Circuit Court bench warrant. Clinton was charged with Failure to Appear in court in connection with a felony drug case. She was transported to and lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center at 1:45 p.m.

High School Student Charged with Marijuana Possession

A 16-year-old high school student faces marijuana possession charges following an incident Tuesday afternoon. School Resource Officer Deputy Cory Jessup responded to a complaint around 1:25 p.m. regarding a student allegedly using marijuana inside a classroom.

The contraband was recovered during the investigation, and the student was subsequently suspended from school. The minor was released to parental custody following the incident.

Georgia Man Served Contempt Warrant

Randelle Stone, 48, of East Point, Georgia, was served with a Lyon District Court bench warrant Wednesday morning. Chief Deputy Sam Adams served the warrant at approximately 8:15 a.m., charging Stone with Contempt of Court. Stone was able to post bond and was released from custody.

Benton Man Arrested on Traffic-Related Warrant

In a separate incident Wednesday morning, Captain Dennis Beckett arrested 28-year-old Tremont L. Flowers of Benton on a Lyon District Court bench warrant. The 8:30 a.m. arrest was related to Flowers’ Failure to Appear in court for a traffic case. Like Stone, Flowers posted bond and was subsequently released from custody.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office continues its enforcement activities throughout the county, with deputies working to serve outstanding warrants and maintain public safety in local schools and communities.
