(MURRAY, Ky.) — The Murray High Tigers continued their perfect season with a 55-28 victory over the visiting Marshall County Marshals at Ty Holland Stadium on Friday night.

The game remained competitive through the first half, with Marshall County keeping pace with the undefeated Tigers. However, Murray High’s offensive firepower proved too much as they pulled away in the second half to secure their fourth consecutive win.

Marshals Ground Attack

Marshall County’s running game accumulated 217 yards on the ground while limiting Murray High to just 96 rushing yards. Senior running back Kayson Holland led the charge with 105 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns, earning the game’s top offensive grade in a standout performance.

Sophomore Kolten Winsett provided excellent support with 59 yards on 14 attempts, adding another touchdown to the Marshals’ rushing total.

Marshals Show Fight Despite Defeat

Despite trailing late, the Marshals showed resilience and refused to surrender. Marshall County mounted a late comeback attempt in the fourth quarter, cutting into Murray’s lead with 28 points of their own, but ultimately couldn’t match the Tigers’ explosive offensive output.

Looking Ahead

The victory improves Murray High to 4-0 on the season, while Marshall County drops to 2-2 following the road loss.

The Marshals will look to bounce back next Friday night when they return home for their Homecoming game against Madisonville-North Hopkins. The visiting Maroons enter the matchup with an identical 4-0 record after pulling off a stunning upset victory over Paducah Tilghman in Week 4.
