(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) — The Marshall County Lady Marshals delivered a commanding performance Tuesday night, defeating Murray High School 2-0 at the Colburn Soccer Complex.

The Lady Marshals struck first in the opening half when Lily Hays found the back of the net off an assist from Maddie Reed, giving Marshall County the early advantage they would maintain throughout the contest.

Marshall County sealed the victory late in the second half as Cheney Green added an insurance goal with just over four minutes remaining in regulation, putting the match out of reach for the visiting Murray Tigers.

Goalkeeper Savannah Dodd was stellar between the posts for the Orange, recording her latest clean sheet to preserve the shutout victory.

The Lady Marshals will return to home turf Thursday evening when they host McCracken County in a district matchup.
