(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.) — The Marshall County Marshals soccer team suffered two defeats Saturday during a challenging day of competition in Bowling Green.
In their first match, the Marshals were shut out by Warren Central, falling 2-0 to the Dragons. Marshall County goalkeeper Carson Lovett faced heavy offensive pressure throughout the contest, making five saves while allowing two goals as Warren Central controlled much of the play.
The second match proved equally difficult for the Marshals, who dropped a 4-2 decision to South Warren despite a more competitive offensive showing.
Marshall County managed to find the back of the net twice in the South Warren match, with junior Lincoln Colburn scoring one goal and adding an assist. Sophomore Maddox Konrad and junior Davis Hunt each contributed one goal apiece to the Marshals’ scoring effort.
The Marshals will play Thursday night at home against new district rival, McCracken County.
