(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.)— The Marshall County Lady Marshals capped off a perfect weekend at the DC Electric Lady Marshal Classic with a commanding 4-0 victory over Daviess County on Saturday evening, winning both games of the tournament.
The Lady Marshals dominated the match with balanced scoring from four different players. Senior Chaney Green opened the scoring with one goal, while freshman Maeci Moryl contributed a goal and an assist for two points. Senior Addi Wall found the back of the net once and added an assist, and senior Rylee Teague rounded out the scoring with one goal.
“It was a complete team effort,” said Head Coach Michael Boone. “Having four different goal scorers shows the depth and versatility of our attack.”
The Lady Marshals’ defense was equally impressive, recording their second clean sheet of the tournament. Senior goalkeeper Savannah Dodd anchored the defensive effort with five saves, preserving the shutout and helping secure the tournament championship.
