(GILBERTSVILLE, Ky.) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 has announced this year’s annual Scott Lathram Memorial Trooper Island Golf Scramble will be held at Kentucky Dam Golf Course on October 2nd. This annual fundraiser helps support Trooper Island Camp, a non-profit summer camp providing a free opportunity for over 700 underprivileged children to attend camp and positively engage with troopers each year. Team registration is open. The registration fee of $300 per team of 4 ($75 per Player) includes green fees, cart, t-shirt and lunch. Pre-registration is required by September 18th to guarantee t-shirt sizes. Payment can be made the day of the tournament by cash or check. Checks should be made out to “Trooper Island Camp”. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for this event. A t-shirt sponsorship of $250 will get your business logo on the back of the tournament t-shirt and social media promotion of your business supporting Trooper Island Camp. A gold level memorial sponsorship of $500 will include the t-shirt sponsorship plus get your business logo on our memorial sponsors banner to be hung at the check in table, honoring the service and sacrifice of our 31 fallen troopers who were killed in the line of duty. This also allows us to place memorial signs of our fallen at the hole number associated with their assigned post at the time of their line of duty death.
