Marshall County Lady Marshals Dominate University Heights 8-2 in DC Electric Classic

(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) – The Marshall County Lady Marshals soccer team delivered a commanding performance Friday night, defeating University Heights 8-2 in the DC Electric Lady Marshal Classic at the Colburn Soccer Complex.

The Lady Marshals controlled the match from start to finish, showcasing balanced scoring across their roster. Senior Lauren Noles led the offensive charge with two goals and four assists, contributing six points to the victory. Freshman Maddie Reed also found the back of the net twice, adding a single assist for five total points.

The scoring attack was well-distributed among the Lady Marshals, with seniors Chaney Green, Lexi Driver, and Rylee Teague each contributing one goal and varying assist totals. Junior Briley Cathey and sophomore Addison Peterson rounded out the scoring with one goal apiece.

In goal, senior Savannah Dodd anchored the defense with five saves while allowing just one goal during her time between the posts. Sophomore Ella VanHorn also saw action as goalkeeper, recording one save and allowing one goal.

The decisive victory in the DC Electric Lady Marshal Classic demonstrates the Lady Marshals’ offensive depth and defensive stability as they continue their season on Saturday at 5:30 against Daviess County in their second match of the DC Electric Lady Marshal Classic.
