(CALVERT City, Ky.) — The popular fountain at Memorial Park will shut down for the winter season beginning September 8, city officials announced.
The seasonal closure will remain in effect until spring returns next year, following the typical maintenance schedule for the water feature.
City officials expressed appreciation for the community’s enthusiastic use of the fountain throughout the warmer months. The attraction drew numerous families and friends who gathered to enjoy the water feature during the summer season.
The fountain has become a beloved gathering spot for Calvert City residents, providing relief from the heat and serving as a focal point for community activities at Memorial Park.
The closure allows city maintenance crews to perform necessary winterization and upkeep on the fountain’s systems during the colder months.
Memorial Park remains open to the public during the fountain’s off-season, with other park amenities continuing normal operations.
