Murray Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant, Additional Drug Charges Filed

MURRAY, Ky. – Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 42-year-old Murray woman Friday night after locating her with an active arrest warrant from Graves County.

Carrie A. Runyon was taken into custody at approximately 11:00 p.m. on August 30, 2025, on Higgins Drive. During the arrest, deputies discovered she was in possession of illegal drugs, leading to additional charges.

Runyon was booked into the Calloway County Detention Center on the following charges:

  • Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine) – Class D felony
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

The arrest comes while Runyon was already out on bond in Graves County for drug-related charges stemming from a grand jury indictment issued in June 2025. The Graves County warrant included charges of:

  • Tampering with Physical Evidence (Class D felony)
  • Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree (Class D felony)
  • Unlawful Transaction with a Minor, 1st Degree (Class B felony)
