
(CARBONDALE, Ill.) – The Marshals soccer team continued their strong season with an impressive 5-2 victory over Poplar Bluff on Friday afternoon in Carbondale, improving their record to 5-1-1.
The Marshals controlled the match from start to finish, building a commanding lead that proved too much for the visiting Poplar Bluff squad to overcome. The offensive attack was well-distributed, with multiple players contributing to the five-goal outburst.
Key contributors to the victory included junior John Shadowen who scored two goals, junior Lincoln Colburn had a goal and an assist, Brayden York had one goal, (#12), freshman Kason Peterson chipped in a goal and junior Maddox Schroader had an assist.
