(MURRAY, Ky.) — Dr. Tim Todd, who has served as Murray State University’s Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs since March 2020, will transition back to a faculty position in the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business beginning November 1, 2025.

Todd brings extensive experience to his return to academia, having previously led the business college as dean and full professor from 2007 to 2019. His administrative journey at Murray State spans over two decades, including roles as interim dean (2006-07), associate provost (2003-06), and assistant provost (1998-2003) before accepting the interim provost position that led to his current role.

“Dr. Todd’s leadership as Provost has been invaluable to our university, and we are grateful for his dedicated service during his tenure,” said Murray State University President Dr. Ron Patterson.

The university announced it will launch a nationwide search to fill the provost position immediately, seeking to ensure continuity in academic leadership during the transition period.
