(LEDBETTER, Ky.) – The Marshall County Lady Marshals golf team delivered a thrilling one-stroke victory in the Graves County Lady Eagle Invitational on Saturday, edging out Bowling Green to claim the tournament championship at Drake Creek Golf Course.
The Lady Marshals posted a team score of 315, just enough to secure first place in the competitive field. The narrow margin of victory showcased the depth and consistency of Marshall County’s lineup throughout the tournament.
Leading the charge for Marshall County was Trinity Beth, who captured individual honors in dramatic fashion. Beth finished regulation play tied for first place with Madison Glisson of Ballard Memorial, both carding rounds of 69. The deadlock forced a playoff, where Beth demonstrated her clutch performance ability by winning on the first playoff hole to claim the individual championship.
“Trinity showed tremendous poise under pressure,” said Head Coach Aaron Beth. “To win in a playoff takes real mental toughness.”
The Lady Marshals received solid contributions from their supporting cast. Charlee Murphy and CeCelia Ray both shot rounds of 81, finishing in a tie for 12th place and providing crucial depth scoring for the team victory.
Brooklyn Cunningham added an 84 to finish tied for 21st, while Kelli Roberts rounded out the Marshall County scoring with an 89, placing her in a tie for 29th position.
