
(CALVERT CITY, Ky.) – The Calvert City Police Department has reported multiple arrests over a recent two-week period, ranging from domestic violence incidents to traffic violations and public intoxication.
Domestic Violence Arrest
Police responded to a domestic disturbance on East 9th Avenue on August 6, where officers found both parties with visible injuries. According to the police report, both individuals admitted to being physical with each other during the altercation. Brittanie Leigh Anne Goodman, 33, and Austin Reed Hicks, 31, both residing at 381 East 9th Avenue, were arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault involving dating violence with minor injury.
Public Intoxication
On August 8, officers were called to Los Tres Amigos restaurant regarding an intoxicated patron. The individual, who had reportedly consumed excessive alcohol and vomited in the parking lot, cooperated with officers upon their arrival. David Blane Rushing, 24, of Murray, was subsequently arrested for alcohol intoxication in a public place.
Impaired Driving Incident
A dangerous situation unfolded on August 9 when a concerned citizen reported a driver who appeared to be falling asleep while operating a vehicle on eastbound Interstate 24. The caller followed the erratic driver to a Speedway gas station, where the vehicle parked at a fuel pump and the driver fell asleep again. Officers arrived to find the subject still unconscious and conducted an investigation that revealed additional violations. Angleo Daniel Meneses Blanco, 34, of Antioch, Tennessee, was cited for operating without a proper moped license, marijuana possession, and two counts of drug paraphernalia possession.
Traffic Stop Yields Multiple Charges
During a routine traffic enforcement patrol on August 10, an officer observed a vehicle exceeding speed limits on Oak Park Boulevard. The subsequent traffic stop revealed multiple violations when the driver admitted to lacking vehicle insurance and possessing marijuana. Andrew R. Hester, 35, of Mayfield, received citations for excessive speeding (64 mph in a 45 mph zone), failure to maintain required insurance, operating with a suspended license, and seven counts of drug paraphernalia possession.
Indecent Exposure at Public Park
Police responded to Memorial Park’s Splash Pad on August 11 following reports of inappropriate behavior. Officers contacted a male matching witness descriptions who was wearing see-through undergarments in a public recreation area frequented by families. Daniel K. Carroll, 56, of Arlington, was arrested on charges of first-degree indecent exposure, second-degree disorderly conduct, and operating with a suspended license.
Outstanding Warrants Lead to Multiple Charges
The most recent arrest occurred on August 17 when an officer noticed a vehicle with expired registration plates linked to a defunct business. The traffic stop revealed the driver was operating without a valid license or insurance, and a records check uncovered outstanding warrants from Illinois. Leonard D. Miller, 56, of Benton, was arrested on two Massac County warrants for failure to appear on suspended license charges. Additional local charges included operating with a suspended license, second-offense failure to maintain insurance, seat belt violation, registration violations, and drug-related offenses.
These arrests highlight ongoing efforts by Calvert City police to address public safety concerns ranging from domestic violence to impaired driving and drug possession within the community.
