(PADUCAH, Ky.) — West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) is expanding access to higher education with multiple entry points throughout the fall semester, recognizing that students have varying schedules and commitments.

While traditional fall classes commenced on August 18, WKCTC has designed additional opportunities for students who need more flexible options. The college will launch 12-week courses on September 15, 2025, followed by 8-week intensive sessions beginning October 13, 2025.

These staggered start dates are particularly beneficial for non-traditional students who may be balancing work, family responsibilities, or other life circumstances that prevent them from beginning classes at the traditional semester start.

“Our approach acknowledges that education isn’t one-size-fits-all,” explained Tammy Maines, Dean of Enrollment. “By offering multiple entry points, we’re removing barriers and creating pathways for students who might otherwise wait an entire semester to begin their educational journey.”

The flexible scheduling extends beyond traditional academic courses. WKCTC Workforce Solutions provides year-round professional development and skills training designed to meet the evolving demands of regional employers and industries.

This multi-entry approach reflects WKCTC’s commitment to serving its diverse community, from recent high school graduates to working professionals seeking career advancement or career changes.
