Chris G. Lovett, 55, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on August 13, 2025, in Benton, Kentucky.

Chris was born in Murray, Kentucky, on May 24, 1970, to the late Joel “Dickie” Lovett and Hilda Scarbrough Lovett. Chris’s life was centered around his passion for the open road, the friendships he made, and his devotion to his family. As a hardworking man, he enjoyed the many years he spent working as a truck driver, traveling countless roadways. Chris was a man of faith and attended Hardin Baptist Church alongside his family. He was also a member of the Briensburg Mason Lodge #401.

From a young age, Chris had a passion for cars and loved the freedom that he found in the driver’s seat. He carried this same passion with him throughout his entire life, and at one point, had eventually collected well over a hundred cars. As much as he loved cars, he also enjoyed spending time on two wheels, riding his motorcycle alongside his family and friends. Those who knew Chris will remember him as a man who would do anything for anyone, always ready to lend a hand or offer a word of support. His presence was a comfort, his laughter a joy, and his generosity knew no bounds. The cornerstone of Chris’s life was, without a doubt, his family. His legacy of love and selflessness lives on through them, and they will forever cherish the moments spent together, whether it was under the hood of a car or around the family dinner table.

He is survived by his son, Andrew Lovett of Benton, Kentucky; his bonus daughter, Kline Arnel (Clay) of Paducah, Kentucky; his sister, Tami Brady (Jeff) of Keller, Texas; his brother, Todd Lovett of Benton, Kentucky; one grandchild, Beck Arnel; his life long companion, Tiffinie Lovett of Benton, Kentucky; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel “Dickie” Lovett and Hilda Scarbrough Lovett; and his grandparents, Rollie and Ola Lovett, and Gus and Opal Scarbrough.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Briensburg T.L. Jefferson Masonic Lodge #401, P.O. BOX 258, Benton, KY 42025.
