
(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) – Marshall County’s soccer program opened their new campaign in dominant fashion Tuesday night, blanking Todd County Central 7-0 at the Colburn Soccer Complex.
The Marshals showcased their offensive depth throughout the match, with six different players finding the back of the net. Sophomore Lincoln Colburn paced the attack with a stellar six-point performance, netting two goals while setting up two more for his teammates.
Fellow sophomore John Shadowen also made his presence felt, contributing one goal and a pair of assists to the scoring barrage. Senior Houston Johnson provided veteran leadership on the scoresheet, joined by sophomores Brayden York and Davis Hunt, along with eighth-grader Kason Peterson, who each recorded single tallies.
The Marshals’ ball movement proved exceptional on the evening, with junior Ethan Upton and sophomore Maddox Schroader each registering assists in the comprehensive victory.
Between the posts, goalkeeper Carson Lovett turned in a flawless performance, securing the clean sheet against Todd County Central’s attack.
The Marshals will again be on the home pitch Thursday evening against the Blue Tornado of Paducah Tilghman. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM.
