(CALVERT CITY, Ky.)-Two employees at Wacker Chemical Corporation’s Calvert City facility have achieved a rare milestone, representing some of the longest-serving workers in the company’s global operations.

Kevin Diamond and James Eaves, who joined the company in 1965 and 1973 respectively, have dedicated a combined 112 years to the chemical manufacturer’s Kentucky site. Their tenure spans decades of growth and transformation at the facility, which specializes in polymer binders for construction, paints, coatings, adhesives, and specialized textiles markets.

“Having just one employee with this level of tenure is rare in today’s world,” said DJ Lutz, site director for Wacker Chemical Corporation operations in Calvert City. “To have two of the longest-serving team members in the entire company here at our site is nothing short of extraordinary.”

Both employees have witnessed significant changes at the facility over their careers, including the transition of Air Products’ polymers business to Wacker and the construction of a dispersion reactor that strengthened the company’s position in VAE-based VINNAPAS® dispersions. The site has also achieved recognition for high safety standards and multiple years of accident-free operations during their tenure.

Lutz praised the pair’s impact beyond their individual contributions, noting that their “institutional knowledge and steadfast work ethic have made them mentors and role models to generations of employees.”

Diamond reflected on his nearly six decades with the company, saying, “It’s been an honor to grow with this company and see how much it’s accomplished. The people here are like family.”

Eaves, approaching his 52nd year with Wacker, echoed similar sentiments: “I’ve always been proud to be part of this team and help make a difference every day.”

The recognition highlights the loyalty and stability that has characterized Wacker Chemical Corporation’s operations in Calvert City, where both employees continue to contribute to the company’s reputation as a leader in the specialty chemicals industry.
