(BENTON, Ky.)-The Marshall County Exceptional Center has announced the postponement of its Annual Gas Drive, moving the fundraising event from its original schedule to February 2025.

Executive Director Lindsey Walker, M.Ed, stated that the decision was made “with careful consideration” and represents what the organization believes is “in the best interest of our community and our events.”

The Annual Gas Drive serves as a key fundraising initiative for the Marshall County Exceptional Center, which provides services to clients with developmental disabilities and special needs in the community.

Despite the scheduling change, Walker emphasized that all donations received to date will be put to their intended use. “Every donation will be utilized to bless our clients as intended,” she said in a statement to supporters. “Your support makes a significant difference in the lives of those we serve.”

The organization expressed gratitude to community members who have already contributed to the drive, calling their donations “invaluable” and highlighting the impact of community support on their mission.

Supporters and community members are encouraged to mark their calendars for the rescheduled February date. The organization will provide additional details about the new timing as the date approaches.

The Marshall County Exceptional Center continues its work serving individuals with exceptional needs throughout the postponement period, relying on community support and donations to fund its programs and services.
