  • On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, around 2am, Deputy Bobby Beeler investigated a single vehicle collision on KY 93 South approximately 8 miles South of Eddyville. His investigation revealed a 2020 Dodge Charger, driven by Joshua Oden (35) of Cadiz was South on KY 93 when his vehicle collided with a deer. There were no injuries reported in the collision.

 

  • On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, around 12:49pm, Chief Deputy Sam Adams responded to a two-vehicle collision at a business on Fairview Avenue in the City of Eddyville. His investigation revealed a 2024 Toyota Highlander, driven by Russell Oates (75) of Eddyville backed into a parked 2018 Hyundai Sonata owned by Vonna Damron of Salem. There were no injuries reported in the collision.

 

  • On Sunday, July 27, 2025, around 1:47pm, Deputy Josh Travis responded to a single vehicle collision on Lake Barkley Drive in Kuttawa. His investigation revealed a 2019 Chrysler 300, driven by Jonathan Ramos (21) of Calvert City, was driving at an extremely high rate of speed, when he failed to negotiate a curve, lost control and exited the right shoulder before colliding with a guard rail and later a ditch. Two passengers sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment at the scene.

 

  • On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, around 12:44am, Deputy Bobby Beeler and a Kentucky State Police Trooper arrested Travis E. Robinson (47) of Fredonia, in Kuttawa. Later around 8:40am, members of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office and the Western Kentucky Violent Crime Task Force arrested Jonathan Chase York (40) of Marion while he was in Lyon County. Both Robinson and York were charged with the following offenses as it pertained to a shooting investigation which began in February 2025 in the Mexico community:

 

  • Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Murder
  • Possession of Handgun by a Convicted Felon
  • Tampering with Physical Evidence
  • Persistent Felony Offender

A third suspect, Allison Robinson (25) of Marion, was later arrested by Crittenden County Sheriff Evan Head and charged with Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Murder. All three suspects were lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center. This investigation was led by Deputy Bobby Beeler when he was previously a deputy with the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Western Kentucky Violent Crime Task Force and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.

 

  • On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, around 5:50pm, Deputy Josh Travis served a criminal complaint and summons on Amber Beckner (45) of Eddyville for Parent or Custodian to Send Child to School – 1st or 2nd Beckner faces an August court appearance to answer for this offense.

 

  • On Thursday, July 31, 2025, around 10:27pm, Deputy Shannon Oliver responded to a two-vehicle collision off Days Inn Drive in Kuttawa. His investigation revealed a 2013 GMC Sierra, driven by Matthew T. Figert (34) of Kuttawa, was backing out of a parking space when he failed to see a vehicle in a drive-thru lane for a nearby restaurant. Figert’s vehicle collided with an occupied 2012 Ford Expedition, driven by Whitney L. Riley (35) of Benton. No injuries were reported in the accident.

 

  • On Friday, August 1, 2025, around 2pm, Captain Dennis Beckett served a warrant on Shanda A. Walker (37) of Winchester. Walker was charged on a Fayette County complaint warrant for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance-1st Offense (Carfentanil or Fentanyl Derivatives). Walker awaits extradition back to Fayette County.

 

  • On Saturday, August 2, 2025, just after 4pm, Deputy Bobby Beeler and Deputy Josh Travis responded to a missing juvenile complaint in Kuttawa. The investigation revealed a 16-year-old and 17-year-old from Missouri had fled their home state and were tracked to Days Inn Drive. They were reportedly trying to get to South Carolina. The runaway juveniles were located in the parking lot of a Kuttawa restaurant and detained by deputies. They were eventually reunited with family members.

 

 

  • On Saturday, August 2, 2025, around 1:40pm, Deputy Josh Travis responded to a single vehicle collision approximately 8 miles South of Eddyville on KY 93 South. His investigation revealed a 2008 Mercury Mariner, driven by Billy W. Lear (57) of Eddyville, collided with a corner support pole at the Malloy’s Korner convenience store, causing the pole to snap in half. No injuries were reported in the collision.

 

  • On Saturday, August 2, 2025, around 9:09pm, Kentucky State Police (KSP) dispatch received multiple 9-1-1 calls about a reckless driver on I-69. Deputy Josh Travis located the 2008 Pontiac G6 vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at the I-69, Exit 71 off-ramp. His investigation led to the arrest of Sean P. Faudree (53) of Princeton. He was charged with No Operator’s License, DUI-1st Offense, and Possession of Controlled Substance-2nd Degree (drug unspecified). Faudree was later lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

 

  • On Saturday, August 2, 2025, around 8:20pm, a Sheriff’s Deputy and KSP Trooper were dispatched to a disturbance complaint at a local campground involving a golf cart collision. Prior to their arrival, dispatch was told that one of the involved parties was fleeing the scene in a 2017 Nissan Maxima. The vehicle was located and subsequently stopped at a business off KY 293. Following a roadside investigation, KSP arrested Grace K. Spears (25) of Bowling Green and charged her with DUI-2nd Offense and Failure to Use Child Restraint Device in a Vehicle.

 

  • In a related event to the above arrest, around 9pm, a white pick-up truck arrived at the same location while Troopers and Deputies were still on the scene, for the purpose of picking up a child which was a passenger in the Spears’ vehicle. Further investigation revealed the driver of this vehicle, David C. Anglin (60) of Dixon, was also under the influence. He was arrested by Deputy Bobby Beeler and charged with DUI-1st Offense. Both Spears and Anglin were lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
