(GILBERTSVILLE, Ky.) – Runners and fitness enthusiasts will light up the night on August 29th when the Kentucky Dam Glow Run kicks off at 7:26 p.m. at Kentucky Dam Beach on Kentucky Dam Old Beach Road.
The unique evening event promises an “Ultimate 5K Glow Run Experience” featuring a scenic route across Kentucky Dam with panoramic views of Kentucky Lake. Organizers are encouraging participants to embrace the neon theme by wearing bright shirts, shoes, and other glowing accessories to make a statement as they kick off their Labor Day weekend.
The starting line will be enhanced with black lights and music to create an energetic atmosphere, while glow sticks and other luminous gear will be provided to all participants to ensure maximum visibility and fun throughout the 5K course.
Following the race, the celebration continues at The Lakehouse Inn at Sledd Creek, located at 7428 US-641 in Gilbertsville. The after-party will feature live music from a DJ, food from the popular Burgers on Wheels food truck, and cosmetic services provided by Glow Med Spa, which will be offering Botox treatments for interested participants.
The event combines fitness, community spirit, and entertainment in a unique nighttime setting that showcases one of Kentucky’s most scenic waterfront locations. The timing allows participants to enjoy cooler evening temperatures while taking in views of Kentucky Lake under the stars.
