
(LEXINGTON, Ky.) — The Marshall County Lady Marshals golf team extended their strong start to the season with a third-place finish at Friday’s Lexington Christian Academy Cup, held at the prestigious UK Club Big Blue Golf Course.
The Lady Marshals posted a team score of 320 (+32), securing their spot on the podium in what proved to be a competitive field. The tournament showcased the team’s depth and consistency as all five players contributed solid rounds.
Leading the charge for Marshall County was Trinity Beth, who captured individual honors with an impressive 67, finishing well under par on the challenging course. Her performance highlighted the team’s potential as they continue to build momentum early in the season.
“Trinity’s round was exceptional today,” said Head Coach Aaron Beth. “She really set the tone for our entire squad.”
The Lady Marshals received strong support from their remaining lineup. Charlee Murphy tied for 26th place with a round of 83, while CeCelia Ray finished in a tie for 29th, carding an 84. Brooklyn Cunningham contributed an 86 to tie for 31st, and Kelli Roberts rounded out the scoring with a 92, placing her in a tie for 42nd.
The LCA Cup, hosted on the UK Club Big Blue Golf Course, drew top teams from across the Commonwealth, making the podium finish all the more impressive.
