Mr. John Vernon Devine, age 91 of Calvert City, KY passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at his home in Calvert City, Kentucky. He was a retired pipefitter for BF Goodrich and was also a commercial fisherman and farmer. Mr. Devine was a veteran of the US Marine Corp. where he served as sergeant. While serving his country, he received the United Nations Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Korean Service Medal. He will always be remembered for being a loving father, grandfather and husband.
Born Monday, May 14, 1934 in Calvert City, KY, he was the son of the late Earl Devine and the late Stella (Chadwick) Devine.
Surviving are his wife, Ina Lorene (Culp) Devine of Calvert City, KY, sons, Ronnie Devine (Sue), Eddie Devine (Christina) and Gilbert Devine, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, David Devine, and daughter-in-law, Lori Devine.
A graveside funeral service with military rites will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Marshall Co. Memory Gardens located at Hwy U.S. 641 North Benton, Kentucky 42025.
