Marshall County Special Olympians Medal at State Summer Games

(RICHMOND, KY)-Athletes from across the Commonwealth recently returned to Eastern Kentucky University for the 30th consecutive year for the Kentucky State Summer Games.  These Games are the largest competitive event of the year as competition is conducted in 4 sports:  Bocce, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Soccer and Track & Field.

On average, 1,200 athletes participate and each has qualified through participation at a Regional or Area level event.  In addition to the athletes, approximately 600 coaches and five hundred family members attend this storied event.

The Marshall County Special Olympians competed in the Bocce Tournament.  The team’s results are as follows:
