With this win, the Raiders improved their record to 16-3. Knox is in second place in the NBL and has won nine games in a row. The first place Geelong Venom (located southwest of Melbourne), holds a perfect 18-0 record.
“Kate The Great” scored 13 points, collected four rebounds, and made two steals in just 22 minutes on the court. Displaying impressive shooting skill, she went 5-for-6 from the field and was 1-for-1 beyond the arc. Notably, she was one of four Raiders to reach double figures in scoring during this commanding win.
In her first month as a professional player, Young is averaging 4.9 points and 3.9 rebounds per game, with her playing time increasing significantly. Recently, she has seen her minutes climb from around 14 to the 20s, reflecting her growing impact on the team.
