Benny Ray Green, aged 71, of Paducah, KY, took his last earthly breath on June 1, 2025, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah, KY.
Born on October 21, 1953, in Russellville, Alabama, Benny was the cherished son of Jessie Coleman Green and Martha Ann (Hill) Green.
Early Life and Education
Benny spent his formative years in Russellville, where he graduated from Russellville High School in 1973. His early life in Alabama shaped his values and work ethic, which would guide him throughout his life.
Career and Accomplishments
In 1984, Benny became a proud member of the Local 40 Boilermaker Union. His dedication and commitment to his craft were evident throughout his 28 years of service, culminating in his retirement in 2012. Benny was respected by his peers and left an indelible mark on his community through his work.
Family and Legacy
Benny’s legacy continues through his loving family. He is survived by his daughters: Candace (Josh) Siress of Benton, KY; Gwyna (Greg) Tremmel of Rose Hill, Iowa; and Chenoa (Jesse) Johnson of Forest City, North Carolina. He was a proud grandfather to Corben Green of Gilbertsville, KY, Emily Wood of Hardin, KY, and Amberly Green of Benton, KY, and a great-grandfather to Hadley Grace Tabers of Hardin, KY.
