Belvie Sue Shelton Turner, 70, of Paducah, Ky passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Born on June 11th, to Brother David and Sue Shelton, she remained a self-proclaimed “daddy’s girl” her entire life. Her strong faith in the Lord and her unwavering love for her family were her driving forces throughout life.

Growing up in church, Belvie was a talented piano and organ player and also sang in the choir. She also helped with the food pantry at her father’s church, Christian Life Fellowship in Barbourville, Kentucky until she moved back to Paducah to be closer to her grandchildren around 10 years ago.

Her most cherished title, Grammy, was one she wore with much pride. Her 5 grandchildren were who made her most proud, only behind her two sons, Nathan and Jason. She beamed anytime she was able to share stories about their accomplishments and achievements.

Her hobbies also included collecting jewelry and cookbooks and she rarely passed up a chance to watch the Food Network or QVC.

Belvie is survived by her two sons, Nathan (Lacy) Turner of Paducah, Ky and Jason Turner of Bluffton, SC; five grandchildren, Katelynn Turner Elrod (Austin), Jonathan Turner, Kaleb Turner, Maelynn Turner, and Kastyn Turner; a sister, Bonnie (Larry) Payne of Barbourville, Ky and a sister in law Rita Shelton of Humboldt, Tn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Larry Shelton, and a grandson, Daegen Turner.

A family planned visitation will be held at High Point Pentecostal Church at 6051 Noble Rd. Paducah, Ky 42001 from 4-6:00PM on Tuesday June 3rd. A brief celebration of life service will follow visitation at 6:00PM.
