On November 4, 2011, Jan wrote the following.

Comfort in Jesus

Tender hearts are Jesus’s comfort cushions

Fore it’s there he can rest for awhile.

As we share our heart’s needs and sorrows,

He will comfort us as we travel each mile.

Just as I am, Jesus truly knows me

As I seek my only comfort in him.

Knowing he will guide and direct me

Even if the light for the path grows dim.

So, Jesus make my heart to be tender

Ever showing  your love to all I meet.

There you can rest as we commune and continue,

As one day, I’ll sit at your feet.

Graveside services will be on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh Community with Pastor Buddy Pearson officiating.  The service will begin at 1 pm.
