Marshall County’s Lady Marshals punched their ticket to the Region 1 title game with Tuesday’s 5-4 walk off win over Paducah Tilghman. It marks their first appearance in the title game since 2019, when they defeated Graves County 7-5 to earn a trip to the state tournament.

They’ll face McCracken County, who advanced with a 14-0 semifinal win over Hickman County. The Lady Marshals and Lady Mustangs split their regular-season matchups, with Marshall County claiming its first-ever win over McCracken on March 21.

Tied 4-4 heading into the bottom of the seventh, Audrey Knisley delivered the game-winning hit, driving in Macy McLeod—who had doubled earlier—for the thrilling walk-off finish.

Allicen Harris earned the win in the circle, striking out eight while allowing six hits and two earned runs. Harris also launched a solo home run in the third inning to give the Lady Marshals a 3-1 lead.

Paducah Tilghman got on the board first with a second-inning RBI single from Lily Coomer. In the bottom half, Marshall responded with back-to-back singles by Kadence Cavitt and Merriel Jackson. Adley Poole reached on a ground ball error that brought in Cavitt, and Jackson scored on an Emma-Leigh Reynolds groundout to make it 2-1.

Harris’ homer extended the lead, and a Knisley single followed by a hit-by-pitch to Trinlee Anderson helped set up another run, making it 4-1. But Tilghman battled back in the fourth, tying the game with a Coomer RBI and a two-run single by Mia Bobbitt.

The score held until the bottom of the seventh, when Knisley’s clutch double sealed the win for the Lady Marshals.

Tonight’s Region 1 Championship gets underway at 6:00 at Graves County High School.
