Outdoor Family Fun Awaits at River Days at Woodlands Nature Station

Land Between the Lakes, KY – May 19, 2025 – The Woodlands Nature Station in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area invites families to visit May 24-26, 2025, to explore our watery world at River Days. “At the Woodlands Nature Station, we like to kick off summer with family-friendly programs that highlight the natural wonders of our local waterways,” says naturalist Jordan Tandy, “Visitors should expect to join live animal programs, crafts, and games at the Woodlands Nature Station during Memorial Day Weekend.”

The Woodlands Nature Station also offers naturalist-guided paddle trips each day of Memorial Day weekend as part of River Days events. These wildlife viewing focused trips will explore one of Lake Barkley’s scenic bays. Since reservations are required, interested parties should contact 270-924-2020 to book spaces on a trip.

A flyer detailing all River Days programming can be found below. Aside from paddle trips, all programs are included at no additional cost with general admission to the Woodlands Nature Station.
