Jackson Purchase Energy Awards Scholarships to Support Local Graduates

Paducah, KY — Jackson Purchase Energy Corpora’on (JPEC) proudly rea*rms its commitment to suppor’ng
educa’on and inves’ng in the future of our communi’es by awarding ten $1,000 scholarships to gradua’ng
high school seniors across its service region.
Eligible applicants included gradua’ng seniors whose primary residence is within JPEC’s service area and
whose parents or guardians are members of the coopera’ve. This year, over 45 students applied for the
scholarship, which required submission of an applica’on, an essay outlining their goals and reasons for
applying, academic transcripts, and records of extracurricular involvement.
Applica’ons were reviewed and scored by a selec’on panel at the Kentucky Electric Coopera’ves
headquarters. Based on merit and representa’on across districts, the following students were selected as
recipients of the 2025 JPEC Scholarships:
Chloie Nix – Ballard County High School
MacKenzie Terry – Carlisle County High School
Caleb Mathis – Graves County High School
Jacquelyn Champion and Elizabeth Joiner – Livingston County High School
Halle Jo Hackney and Tommy Robertson – Marshall County High School
Savannah McDowell, Lilly Lewis, and Claire Fleming – McCracken County High School

educa’on,” said Mark Lindsey, Vice President of Member Services, Communica’ons & Human Resources.
“Our goal is to help these young people succeed and, ideally, return to Western Kentucky to become strong,
engaged leaders in their communi’es.”
