Eight members of the Marshall County Bass Fishing team finished among the top anglers at the Region 1 Tournament to advance to the KHSAA State Bass Fishing Championship. The tournament was based out of Kuttawa Harbor Marina on Barkley and Kentucky Lakes on Saturday.
The KHSAA State Bass Fishing Championship takes place May 8-10 on Lake Cumberland at Halcomb’s Landing in Jamestown, Ky.
State qualfiers and finish at the Region 1 Tournament:
3rd – Ty Redden/Clayton Wyatt, 5 fish/17 lbs 1 oz
19th – Drake Fooshee/Carson Lovett, 4 fish/9 lbs 3 oz
24th – Deacan Smith/Landon Copeland, 3 fish/8 lbs 8 oz
State qualifier and finish (girls division):
6th – Hadlee Frizzell, 1 fish/2 lbs 1 oz
7th – Avery Mackey, 1 fish/1 lb 15 oz
