She was a member of Pilot Oak Church of Christ and the retired owner of Sarah’s Beauty Shop.
Mrs. Canter is survived by one son, Rex Allen (Anita) Canter of Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Linda (Tom) Lonsway of Mayfield, KY; three grandchildren, Becky Canter, Daniel (Jennie) Lonsway and Jarrod Gream; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rex Canter; one son, Dennis Dale Canter; one daughter, Janice Canter Gream; two brothers, Mac Stark and Jimmy Stark; one sister, Edna McClain; and her parents, Cleo and Aline Cavender Stark.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Agnes Canter will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Fred Seavers will officiate. Interment will follow at Cuba Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Lonsway, Jarrod Gream, Terry Colley, Curtis Jenkins, Chance Wilson and Jake Smock. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip McClain, Donald Lee Stark, Bobby McClain and Tim Stark.
Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at the funeral home.
