Edna Lavone McLeod, 90, of Benton, passed on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, Kentucky.
Born on May 29, 1934, in Hickman, Kentucky, Edna was the daughter of her late parents, Egbert Allen Ogden and Minnie Mae Middleton Coleman. Her passion for the outdoors was reflected in the many hours she spent nurturing her garden. A true caretaker at heart, she dedicated herself to the well-being of her family, wrapping them in her warmth and affection.
Edna is survived by her six daughters, Gail Devine of Calvert City, Cathy Alexander of Benton, Lisa Louise Jackson of Oklahoma City, OK, Donna Carol York of Benton, Vickey Diane Morefield of Benton, Angela Marie Jones of Benton; one son, Larry Allen McLeod of Caruthersville, MO; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Eldridge McLeod; son, Randy Joe McLeod; three sisters, Eloise Middleton, Carolyn Womble, Shirley White; one brother, Floyd Edward Ogden.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, KY 42025. Burial will follow in Marshall County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday, April 18, 2025, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann.
