Bettye Lou Gallemore Farmer Henderson, age 86, of Melber, KY passed away in her home
March 17, 2025.
She was born August 21, 1938, to the late Robert E Gallemore and Alva Estelle Higginson
Gallemore.
She had brothers and sisters she loved very much. The late Robert G Gallemore and
Marjorie “Nell” Gallemore, Sherman and Jonie Henderson, and Bonnie and Lyn Smith.
She attended school at Melber and church at Pottsville Church of Christ. She was married
to the love of life, Larry Henderson, for 49 years. They enjoyed fishing, growing a garden,
and raising chickens. On a pretty day you could find her on the porch visiting with
neighbors or watching cars pass by. In the early 80s they moved to Phoenix Az were she
had several fond memories.
She was the mother of 5 beautiful children: Robert “Butch” and the late Thonda Farmer,
Karen and Leslie Wyman, Jeffrey and Angela Farmer, the late Dillion Farmer, and the late
Ruth Thurston.
She was the grandmother to 8 grandchildren: Rachael (Shane) Durbin, Jessica (Eric)
Moreland, William (Helen) Thurston, Savannah (Jason) Frizzell, Theresa (Lloyd Kelsey)
Thurston, James Farmer, and John (Madilyn) Wyman. The great-grandmother to 9: Emma Durbin, Austin Thurston, Jackson Frizzell, Kelton Moreland, Jensen Frizzell, Kennedee Knight, Spencer Frizzell, Eliza Mae Wyman, and Ricky Russelburgh.
Lindsey Funeral Home will oversee arrangements.
