
Deloise Dean Marsh, 88, formerly from Gilbertsville, Kentucky, entered heaven on February 26, 2025, in Papillion, Nebraska surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Hershel and Fannie Mitchell of Greenville, Kentucky.
She was married to James Marsh for 36 years and they enjoyed spending time with both of their families. She was a proud mother of five daughters: Sandra Graveline (Darryl Winter), Cheryl (Dave) Olszewski, Marvilene (Jeffrey) Quigley, Angela (Congressman Donald) Bacon, and Carissa (Mike) Grandpre. She had 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Her beloved second family, Everett (Janet) Marsh, Blair (Kelly) Marsh, Eric (Tina) Marsh, 12 more grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Deloise loved spending time with her precious daughters and her dear siblings. She enjoyed shooting as a member of the National Muzzle Loading Rife Association, where Deloise won multiple awards including National Champion in both Flintlock Pistol Marksman Class and Sharpshooter. She also enjoyed traveling, attending rendezvous, camping, watching grandchildren’s sporting events, reading books, and was a gifted quilter.
She is survived by 9 siblings: Wilma Wicker, Anna (Leon) Terry, Pansy Evans, Harold (Carol) Mitchell, Robert Mitchell, Norma (Dave) Norton, Carol Lee (Betty) Mitchell, Shirley (Charles) Perry and Gail (Eddie) Agent. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister Joice Nell Mitchell, and her husband James Marsh.
Visitations will be held at Leigh’s Chapel General Baptist Church at 120 North Leighs Chapel Lane, Greenville, Kentucky, beginning at 10:00 AM on March 8, 2025.
