He was a 1982 Sedalia High School graduate and lived and worked in the community all of his life. He was a well-known carpenter and started Eddie Wyatt Construction Company in the late 80’s. He took extreme pride in his work and business. He was never more proud than when he taught his trade to both of his sons, Travis and Trace, who over the last few years have all but taken the reins of the business. His most loved hobby was tending to livestock on his small farm, which started with horses. He passed that love and passion to his only daughter, Ashley, who he loved to watch ride, train and care for the horses. Being a father to his children was his very best source of pride and accomplishment.
Eddie is survived by two sons, Travis Wyatt and Trace (Samantha) Wyatt both of Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Ashley (Clayton) Story of Mayfield, KY; one sister, Annabel (Gale) Hawkins of Farmington, KY; and three grandchildren, Logan Wyatt, Easton Wyatt and Hallie Wyatt.
He was preceded in death by his son, Chase Wyatt; one brother, Bobby Wyatt; and his parents, Gerald and Reva Johnson Wyatt.
A memorial visitation for Mr. Eddie L. Wyatt will be 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.
