
Lowell Thomas Davis, born on November 17, 1955, passed away on January 18, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida, surrounded by the love of his family.
Lowell proudly served in the United States Navy for 25 years, retiring in 1999. His distinguished career was marked by honor, courage, and an unwavering commitment to his country. His service left a lasting legacy that will be remembered by all who knew him.
He was a devoted husband to Linda Mason Davis and a loving father to Elizabeth Jackson, Michael Dungan (Mindy), and Sarah Davis. Lowell was also a cherished brother to Vickie Smith (David) and Mary Galloway (Adam). As a grandfather, he brought joy to Gregory, Ryan, Ayden, Marisa, Stephen, Luke, and Andrew. Known affectionately as Uncle Tom, he held a special place in the hearts of his nieces and nephew: Holly Reynolds (Tim), Nathan Smith (Kim), Misty Houston (Michael), Sheena Robinson, and Aleisha Penney. He also leaves behind several great-nieces and great-nephews who will remember him fondly.
Lowell had a passion for playing the guitar, finding immense joy in sharing his love of music with those around him. Above all else, he was deeply loved by his family and enriched their lives in countless ways.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ivory Thomas Davis; his mother, Mary Kathleen Davis; and his son-in-law, Jimbo Jackson.
Graveside services with military honors will take place on February 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Union Hill Cemetery in Benton, Kentucky.
Lowell’s memory will be cherished every day by those who knew him. May his legacy of love and service bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
