Ms. Vickie Smith, age 70 of Benton, KY passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. She was a loving mother and Big Mama. She enjoyed spending time with family. She loved the beach, star-gazing, writing poetry, listening to classic rock, having bonfires and time on the lake with her sisters, and anything outdoors.
She is survived by her son, Joshua Paul Smith of Benton, KY, daughter, Dusti Harpole of Benton, KY, sisters, Diane Beyer of Symsonia, KY, Mary Deras-Lopez of Symsonia, KY, Laurie Brien of Benton, KY, grandchildren, Denisha Sue Harpole, Malachi Harpole, Stone Rosser, Olivia “Rayney” Harpole, Jenna Grace Smith, Sienna Sue Smith, Sutherland Smith, Alyssa Przybylowski, Bella Russell, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Smith Sr., and Joetta (Wood) Dudley Smith, brothers, Kenny Smith, Ben Smith, Paul Dudley, and brother-in-law, Glen Brien.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th Street, Benton, KY 42025.
