Mildred Imogene Oliver, 94, of Calvert City, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah.

Mildred was born to the late Marion Moore and Reba Kimsey Moore on November 6, 1930, in Slocum, Kentucky. As a proud graduate of Marion High School, Mildred embraced the role of a stay-at-home mother with grace and joy. Her home was not just a dwelling but a place where warmth and care were woven into the very fabric of daily life. From the aroma of her delicious cooking and baking to the beauty of her handmade crafts, Mildred’s home always provided comfort. Mildred’s hands were rarely still as she focused her love for crafts on quilting, crocheting, and sewing. Her skill as a seamstress became well-known throughout her community, as she lovingly made dresses that were cherished by many.

Mildred loved the Lord and was an active member of First Baptist Church in Calvert City where she served in various children’s youth programs and taught Sunday School for many years. As an avid fan of the Memphis Grizzlies, she always enjoyed watching their games while passionately cheering them on and sometimes calling her family members to give them a play-by-play update. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, a testament to her sharp wit and great sense of humor, which never failed to bring smiles to those around her. Above all, Mildred was a loving matriarch, cherishing every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her caring nature knew no bounds, and her presence was a source of comfort and joy to her family. The legacy of love she leaves behind is immeasurable, and her memory will be cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her three daughters, Sherl Devers (Joe) of Benton, Kentucky, Gail Harrington (Herman) of Louisville, Kentucky, and Julie Noles (Mark) of Calvert City, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Shannon Tombrello (Frank), Colby Harrington, Danan Harrington, Kathryn Ferguson (Marshall), Jon Noles (Shelley), Kris Noles (Beth), and Ben Noles (Serena); five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford Oliver; her sister, Bettie Stucker; her brother, John Moore; and her parents, Marion Moore and Reba Moore Dalton.
