Marshall County Man Arrested For Fentanyl Trafficking

In December 2024, Drug Division Detectives, McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, conducted an investigation into trafficking Fentanyl in McCracken County, KY.

During the investigation, detectives purchased Fentanyl pills during an undercover operation that was set up by Travis A. Thorpe, 34, Benton, KY. Since then, a warrant had been issued for Conspiracy to Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense – Fentanyl, and law enforcement had been actively trying to locate Thorpe.

On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, just before 3:00 PM, detectives and deputies with the McCracken and Marshal County Sheriff’s Office’s located Thorpe in a business at 8931 US-68 in the Sharpe community of Marshall County, KY.

Thorpe was arrested inside the business after noticing law enforcement and attempting to hide. During a search of Thorpe’s person and vehicle, a quantity of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine were located along with assorted items of illegal drug paraphernalia consistent with both the use and distribution of illegal drugs.

Additional charges in Marshall County are pending.
Thorpe was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
