Sammy Carroll, 58, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025.
Sammy was born to Billy Joe “Cotton” Carroll and the late Linda Riley Lamb on December 26, 1966, in Benton. He spent 20 years working as an Operator for the Kentucky Department of Transportation. Sammy was a fan of wrestling and NASCAR. He enjoyed being outdoors and occasionally riding four wheelers, horses and mules with his friends and family. Friends and family will remember Sammy for his great sense of humor and how he always enjoyed joking around and cutting up with others.He was also a man of faith and a member of Briensburg Baptist Church.
Sammy is survived by his father, Billy Joe “Cotton” Carroll and stepmother, Jane Carroll of Benton, Kentucky; two sons, Jeffrey Carroll and Wesley Carroll, both of Benton, Kentucky; four sisters, Jolinda “Jody” Hamlet (Mitchell) of Benton, Kentucky, Robbie Davis (Robert) of Benton, Kentucky, Diana “Bunny” Andersson (Danny) of Benton, Kentucky, and Kecia Chadwell of Cheatham County, Tennessee; one brother, Craig Jones of Calvert City, Kentucky; two nieces, Kayla Bearden (Jeremi) of Gilbertsville, Kentucky and Kelcee Ruby (Jacob) of Benton, Kentucky, one nephew, Riley Hamlet (Alex) of Benton, Kentucky; several cousins; and his best friend and cousin, Shane Carroll (RaeAnn) of Benton, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Barry Lamb; his mother, Linda Sue Riley Lamb; and his stepfather, Gary Lamb.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr with Bro. C.C. Brasher officiating. Burial following at Marshall County Memory Gardens.
